Service state reference

An order answers whether a purchase request was fulfilled. A service’s lifecycle answers what exists and can be used. Billing has its own dates and documents.

Displayed situation Meaning
Configuration required The service needs customer configuration before deployment, as with openDesk.
Awaiting approval The order is waiting for the internal review.
Provisioning The approved setup operation is running.
Running The service’s observed lifecycle is active; a product health check can add availability information.
Updating A configuration change or product rollout is in progress.
Suspending / resuming A reversible stop or restart is being applied.
Suspended Access or operation is stopped; retained data allows supported recovery.
Cancellation scheduled A billing boundary is set; this does not prove infrastructure has stopped.
Deprovisioning / deleting A requested removal is running.
Deprovisioned The service infrastructure lifecycle has finished removal. Personal-data cleanup has its own verification.
Failed The attempted operation failed; the reported cause and remaining state determine recovery.
Aborted setup Setup ended before a service was created.

Service cancellation uses an effective billing boundary. Monthly billing uses calendar-month rules; annual prepaid terms have their own commitment. Trial expiry follows the Chat contract’s trial clock. The service controls and current offer supply the applicable terms.

An addon can depend on its parent. Configuration, update, cancellation or deletion controls can be unavailable while another operation runs or a dependency prevents the change.

Verified erasure has a separate progress page and completion criteria. An accepted deletion request, a finished order or a missing launch link alone does not establish completed cleanup.
