Use Chat on mobile and desktop

Use your organization’s Chat address over HTTPS. Your identity, seat, apps and provider permissions remain the same across supported clients.

On Chrome or Edge, open Chat and use the browser’s install action. On iPhone or iPad, open it in Safari and choose Share → Add to Home Screen. Open the new icon and sign in if requested.

The installed web app opens Home in its own window. Installation does not grant service access and does not turn private data into an offline workspace.

Use the bottom navigation and More for additional apps. Settings are available from the user menu. File results and detail views can open in a drawer; use its own scroll area to reach actions on a short screen.

Connect providers through the offered account action. Complete consent in the required browser and return to the app, then check that the intended source loads.

The production web app can cache a public offline launch explanation. It does not place authenticated app pages, Chat content, files, sign-in pages or API responses in that service-worker cache. Working with private data needs a connection.

A new worker waits for its controlled windows to close instead of forcing an active chat or form to reload. After saving your work, close the app’s windows and reopen to pick up a waiting update.

Use the installer and release channel supplied by your organization. The desktop client reuses the Chat interface and adds its native integration where enabled. Provider consent can open in the system browser; return to the desktop app after completing it.

Open the intended workspace, read an existing conversation and check one permitted app source. If browser access works but a client fails, provide the client, operating system, time and observed error to support.
