Use MCP connections
An MCP connection provides tools from an external server. Store availability, organization policy and your role determine which connections you may add or use.
Use a connection
Section titled “Use a connection”- Open Settings → Connections.
- Choose an offered connection or an allowed custom MCP connection.
- Supply the required connection details and sign in with the provider when requested.
- Review the offered tools and permission groups.
- Test a read-only task with an authorized agent.
Administrators set up organization connections under Administration → Connections and control availability in the Store. Connecting a server does not grant every tool to every agent.
Check the direction
Section titled “Check the direction”This guide covers external MCP servers as tool sources for AUTARQ. External clients connecting to AUTARQ require an explicitly provided endpoint and its own credentials. A personal provider connection does not establish that inbound access automatically. Use the separate API access for programmatic chat requests.
