Work with the assistant
You need active Chat access. Available agents, models, skills and tools follow your role, plan and the organization’s configuration.
Give the assistant a task
Section titled “Give the assistant a task”- Open Chat in the main navigation and start or select a conversation.
- Choose an available agent.
- Describe the outcome, relevant context and constraints.
- Add the files or sources the task needs through the offered picker.
- Send the request and follow the response and tool details.
Keep related follow-up work in the same conversation. Starting a new conversation separates its task context. Conversation folders help organize saved chats.
Use skills and knowledge
Section titled “Use skills and knowledge”Skills provide reusable instructions and resources. Manage the skills available to you in Settings → Skills, and select offered skills where the task interface provides them. Organization administrators maintain agents, their assigned skills and knowledge under Administration.
A source must be available to your identity before the assistant can use it. Connecting a provider, installing an app and granting the needed tool permissions are separate prerequisites. Use Connections if a tool asks for access.
Review an action
Section titled “Review an action”Tool activity shows what the assistant is doing. Open its details when you need the result or an error. Where an approval card appears, review the target, parameters and consequence before approving or refusing. A failed tool call is not evidence that its intended change completed; inspect the target app when the result is uncertain.
Open a published result
Section titled “Open a published result”Completed responses can publish file cards. Open a card to view the result panel, switch between files or download them. On a phone the panel opens as a drawer.
Supported previews include PDF, images, HTML, CSV, text, Markdown and web bundles. Published Office and OpenDocument results use the configured Office viewer and open read-only. Work files retain their own editing rights. If preview or metadata loading fails, use the available retry or download action.
Check the outcome
Section titled “Check the outcome”Review generated content and verify any external change in its source app. Use a follow-up to correct the result. Files explains the difference between published results and stored working documents.
