Use mail, calendar, contacts, to-dos and notes
These instructions take place inside Chat. The appropriate plan, app member, provider and personal access must be available. Start with Apps and connections if an app or source is missing.
Open the correct source
Section titled “Open the correct source”Use the app navigation or More. Where several accounts or providers are available, choose the intended source before reading or changing data. AUTARQ and Microsoft sources can share a page without sharing permissions.
| App | What to do |
|---|---|
| Select the mailbox, open a message, compose or reply, then use the sender account intended for the recipient. Sending requires write access and a usable sender. | |
| Calendar | Select a calendar and date, open an appointment or create one, review time zone and participants before saving. |
| Contacts | Choose the address book, search for a person and use the offered detail or edit actions according to source rights. |
| To-dos | Choose the task source and list, inspect due dates and complete or edit tasks where permitted. Microsoft To Do and Planner follow their own account rights. |
| Notes | Choose the note source and open or edit it with the available permissions. OneNote is installed independently from Microsoft To Do. |
| Chats | Use the configured communication provider for chats with people. This is separate from the AI assistant conversation. |
Check saves and partial failures
Section titled “Check saves and partial failures”Wait for the source to confirm a change. Read-only data can be viewed while its editing controls remain unavailable. A failed source should show its own error; other installed sources can remain usable.
A reconnect request means account access needs attention. A temporary provider error can instead require retry. Check the displayed cause before changing the account connection.
Use meetings and assistant tasks
Section titled “Use meetings and assistant tasks”Inviting people or using a video meeting follows Meeting scheduling. Scheduled assistant tasks have their own calendar and execution history; they are distinct from a person’s to-do list.
Verify the result
Section titled “Verify the result”Reopen the changed item in the intended source. For email, check the selected sender and sending result. For calendar work, confirm the saved date, zone, participant and invitation state. An item appearing on screen does not establish that an external invitation was delivered.
